Autumn is here!

Last week Autumn officially started. Autumn is one of my favourite times of the year. I love the warm and the coldish weather and the colours are amazing. I love the orange leaves that are on the floor and its so fun to kick them about and jump in them. When I was younger I'd love to find some big fat conkers and bring them to school and play conker wars with my friends, I've kind of stopped that now. I love the mornings as well, there misty and chilly but sometimes golden which is so beautiful down at the lake in the morning. I like to go to the beach in autumn and wear my big coats and have a nice walk on the beach or a skate in the beach car park and then come home put my onesies on and chill with a big mug of coffee and watch a romantic film. Also this is the season for Halloween! Halloween is deffinatly one of my favourite times of the season. Carving pumpkins and then my mum makes pumpkin soup, thats the best. Also dressing up and getting ready for family parties is so much fun. Last year for Halloween I found out how to make glow in the dark jars and I was so proud of myself, it looked amazing!

I did a little Autumn shoot with my mum to celebrate Autumn.

Beaches.

Cornwall is known for its amazing beaches, and us people who live down here are so lucky to have all of these beaches to ourselves.
There are over 200 beaches down here and I've only been to a few of them, but the ones I have been to are beautiful.
One of my favourite beaches is Porthtowan. Its such a pretty a lush beach and the sunsets there are the best! There used to be huge sand dunes but when we had the bad storms down here last winter they have gone. There is a bar there called Blue Bar which is where all the surfers hang out after a surf and also all the locals go for a nice meal. I went there during the summer for a meal with my family that had come down and there was an amazing sunset.

I spent most of my evenings this year at Maenporth in Falmouth. Maenporth is a small beach with a little cafe. We went down to Maenporth most evenings for a bbq, bonfire, swim and gopro filming. (Most of my summer video was filmed there). Once we went there and I was in the sea with my cousin and then there was loads of dolphins jumping out of the water and it was amazing it made my day.

Gyllngvase beach is a very well known beach down here in Falmouth. Its a man made beach, with a cafe which has amazing food. There's a 20 minute little walk on the cliffs to Swampool, which is similar to Gyllngvase but has Elemental, which is an outdoor sports centre. I spend most of my time at Gyllngvase when we go to meet up with family and when I meet my friends.Gylly also has a tropical garden just behind it which is so beautiful, with some amazing flowers and plants.

My all time favourite beach at the moment is Lelant near St Ives. When its a hot sunny day the sea is a lush turqoise and it looks like the Caribbean, because of its white sand too. It has a river running through it that leads to the sea. My labradoor doesn't really like the sea but she loves the river but it does has strong currents so your not really allowed to swim in it, but it is good for kayaking and boats. The best thing about this beach is that it is always quiet (well it is whenever I go there).

Being Happy and Positive.

"when someone else's happiness is your happiness, that is love." - Lana Del Rey.

I've recently learnt the key points in life is to be happy and positive. I'm always happy when I'm at the beach and in the sea just floating and enjoying the sun and the sounds of the waves crashing on the shore, and the sound of children laughing as they run away from the waves, trying not to get wet.
Us humans can get sad and happy really easily at the most simplest things in life. Such as listening to music we get happy or going for a walk on the cliffs watching the waves or even relaxing at home drinking coffee.

Things that keep me happy:
  1. Friends- I have amazing friends. They're so lovely and they are always happy, I hardly see them down. I have a little group of friends with about five of us in and we just have such fun times and we laugh all the time. They make me laugh all the point to the stage that im laughing so much it hurts. I do have some other friends that aren't in the group and they are also amazing and lovely.

  2. Skating- Skating gives me a chance to get away from school work and social media and clear my head. I love to go in the evenings when the sun is just about to go down and you get that lovely golden sky and I just spend an hour or more with my brother having fun and sometimes taking photos.
  3. Family- I think everyone's families keep them happy, mine definitely do. My family are basically a big bunch of adults who act like kids and we all muck about all the time and have a laugh and we just do the things that keep us happy in life.

  4. My life- my life isn't perfect, no ones is. But I'm just so happy about my life at the moment: I have the best group of friends, my family are awesome and everything is just amazing right now.
5.The ocean and the beach- I love to go down to the beach! It's my favoiurite place to go because beaches are so beautiful and relaxing. I've only recently been so in love with the sea as this summer I was pretty much always in it. I find going for a swim in the sea is so relaxing and its just nice to bob about.

Obsession with sharks.

Hello my lovely viewers! Today's blog post is about my obsession with sharks.

How the obsession began.
I have had an obsession with sharks for two years now. I first got into them, the first time I watched Jaws in my English class. We were writing an essay about how Stephen Spielberg creates suspense in Jaws. After doing that essay I made my Mum buy all the Jaws films and spent the afternoon/night watching them. After that I've been obsessed with Jaws, its my favourite film now.

Why am I obsessed?
I think that sharks are beautiful creatures. They are so fascinating and amusing to watch. Yes sharks are big and scary with huge mouths full of raiser sharp teeth but they are actually amazing. People are scared of them because they aren't the cutest animals ever and because of the Jaws films. Jaws has made people scared of them and stopped them from going in the sea. But now people are so scared of them they decide to kill them, which is not fair at all! People do get killed by sharks often every year but they shouldn't be swimming in the water if they know there's going to be sharks.

Facts about sharks.
  • Humans kill 73 million sharks annually.
  • Sharks do not have a single bone in their bodies. They have a skeleton that is made out of cartilage, the same stuff our ears are made of.
  • Great whites can race through the ocean at 30km per hour!
  • Most fish are covered in smooth flat scales, but sharks are covered with scales that are sharp called denticles.
  • Sharks are rarely dangerous to humans. But humans are dangerous to sharks. Fishermen kill about 30 million to 100 million sharks every year. About 75 shark species are becoming extinct.
