Sports Day 2015

Hey Everyone! Today, I'm back with another blog post all about this years sports day and this post is FULL of photos! Enjoy :)

So, every year at my school we have a sports day like most schools do. As our school is a sports academy we have a full day full of sports. We have to pick two for a morning session and then we can pick to do track events in the afternoon.

The hole school is involved with sports day and it happens every year in June or July. In our school we are separated in to four different house teams with colours: Arwenack (green), Killigrew (blue), Gluvias (purple) and Pendennis (yellow),  I'm in Arwenack whooo!

During the day all the house teams are all competing against each other and its really fun. We get a choice out of loads of different sports to do in the morning such as football, tag rugby, dodge ball, netball, rounders, trampolining, badminton and many more. There is also the option of doing OAA which is like team building and team work, skateboarding and street dance. These take up the whole morning.

In the afternoon after lunch, the whole school goes down to the school field and we are separated into dens in our house teams and we have load music on and we watch the track events. This year there were soooo many people racing and I'm really proud of everyone. People who were injured ran and people who got injured during their races ran and that made me proud!
Since Septemember the house teams have been collecting house points by doing good work and from through out the day and at the end of sports day they added up all the points and they anounced a winner. Out of the four years I've been at my school, Gluvias or Pendennis have won sports day and my house (Arwenack) have come last or third! But... this year Gluvias came last, Killigrew third, Pendennis second and ARWENACK FIRST!!!!! YESSSSS! So happy that we won on our last sports day!

I got asked to be the photographer for the school in the afternoon and I photographed the track events so I'm now going to show you my favouirte images and selfies from my last ever sports day! Sad times, but what a great day!

Work Experience Week.

The week of the 23rd of March-27th of March I had work experience week! I went with my mum for the week as when I'm older I want to go into photography and film. I had an amazing week with her and today's blog post is going to be about each day of that week and some of my favourite images from what I got up to!

Day 1- On the Monday, I created a mood board for the Tuesday as I was doing a spring shoot with model Crystal Lily. I made a board on Pinterest for her to be able to see what I had in mind for the shoot.

Day 2- On the Tuesday, I did my first ever shoot and I REALLY enjoyed it! I photographed Crystal in five very different outfits and I am pleased with how images turned out. Here are some of my favourite shots.

Day 3- On the Wednesday, I learnt all the tips and tricks of photoshop and how to edit my images and spent the whole day editing and listening to music.

Day 4- On the Thursday, I went to Gyllngvase Beach in Falmouth to film Crystal again and model Tommy John Stewart. The film will be up on YouTube very soon. I also photographed them both in their casual beach outfits and I also photographed Crystal in a swimsuit that was sent to her for me to photograph from Paris! Here is some of my favourite images.

Day 5- On the last day, Friday, I edited some of the film and edited all of the images.

I really enjoyed my week of work experience working with my Mum! Thank you Mum <3 :)

Art Trip To St Ives.

For a school trip today for art the two classes in year 10, which is my year went to St Ives to visit the Barbara Hepworth museum and the Tate. So today's post is kind of like a diary entry about our day! Enjoy :)

We arrived in St Ives and walked down to the Tate and we split into our classes and went our separate ways. My class went to the Barbara Hepworth museum and the other class stayed at the Tate.
We had to walk up a really steep hill to get to her studio and my teacher kept taking us the wrong way. The weather was freezing and it even snowed a tiny tiny bit.
Once we arrived at the museum a lady who worked there told us all about Barbara Hepworth and how she died and her life story. She also took us on a tour and then we were left to look around ourselves and take photos and sketch. In her garden she had a greenhouse with some of her sculptures it. This part of the trip was my favourite because it was so pretty and I would love to have that as a place to read or to chill. It was so pretty.
I really enjoyed look at her sculptures and and seeing where she worked. I found it fascinating. Her garden was beautiful filled with her sculptures.

After we finished the museum we walked to the Tate and had lunch. When lunch was over we got split into our groups again. My group went on a tour of the Tate and the other went to Barbara's studio. The Tate tour was very boring, the man who guided us was very boring too. I only like some of photography in one of the gallery's. We were left for an hour to go around but we had already been on a tour so we used the free wifi and just sat and chatted. I spent most of my time at the Tate taking endless amounts of photos of the sea.

So that was my fun art trip of what I got up to blog post hope you enjoyed :) Here's some more photos that I took!
