My passion for skating.
Today my post is about my skating and my passion for it.
I have been skating for about two years now and it is defiantly something I love! When Penny Boards came out and everyone got one, I obviously got one and that was my first board. I got it from a surf shop in St Ives. It then took me an hour to learn how to skate and I was so happy with myself. Over that summer I had some of my friends come over with their penny boards and we skated all day and my Mum took some photos for us.
I skated pretty much every day to get better and better and then in September my brother got his first deck. I got bored of my penny and kept stealing my brothers deck and learnt have to skate on that deck. I then got a t-shirt of a local brand called Thrashion and I was asked to model it and promote it in a online magazine at mount hawke skate park in November and I stole my brother's board for that.
Finally on 16th of November I got my first deck and fell straight away in love with. Its a Girl skateboard and it came from Nottingham. It was a custom deck so my Dad picked all the parts of it for me, and on my birthday he wrapped every part of the board individually.
Now I only use my board for when I go to skate parks. I don't like doing tricks, I have a fear off falling off and breaking something. So hopefully this year I'm going to get a long board and get back into my cruising because I prefer doing that and going really fast. I've always wanted to learn to skate but now that I have my deck I have realised that I don't want to do tricks.
